KuriBook is a local-first chitty/chit tracking application designed to help organizers manage members, payments, installments, payouts, reminders, and encrypted backups.
KuriBook is a bookkeeping and tracking tool only.
KuriBook is:

- Not a financial institution
- Not a lending platform
- Not an investment service
- Not a payment gateway
- Not a wallet or escrow service
Users are fully responsible for complying with local laws and regulations related to chit funds, chitties, finance, taxation, and money collection in their region.
2. Local Data Storage
KuriBook primarily stores data locally on your device.
This includes:
- Chitty details
- Member information
- Payments
- Payout records
- Notes and reminders
You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and protecting your PIN or biometric lock.
3. Backup and Restore
KuriBook may offer encrypted Google Drive backup functionality.
Important points:
- Google Drive backup is optional
- Backup data is encrypted before upload
- KuriBook developers cannot read your encrypted backup data
- Restoring a backup may replace existing local app data
Users are responsible for:
- Maintaining access to their Google account
- Remembering backup credentials if applicable
- Verifying backups are functioning correctly
We are not responsible for data loss caused by:
- Device damage
- App deletion
- Forgotten PINs
- Corrupted backups
- Google account issues
- User mistakes during restore
4. User Responsibility
You agree to use KuriBook only for lawful purposes.
You are solely responsible for:

- Managing collections and payouts
- Member communication
- Financial calculations and verification
- Compliance with local chit fund laws and taxation rules
